There are times when I think I should invest in Kleenex stock before the start of each auction.  I swear I end up going through an entire box of tissues by myself mid-way through the event.  The post-auction work is possibly more emotional for me.

Now that this auction is over and some of the really hard work is begun - both for the authors and for those of us who handle the accounting side of things - I found myself reflecting this afternoon about some of the praise I’ve personally received over my part in the auction.

Stacie is currently recovering from the surgical procedure she had a few weeks ago during which her remaining breast tumors were removed. The surgery was fully paid in cash with the proceeds from the April Author Auction!
